Telemak's expansion

2007 was a great year for Telemak. A lot of new customers joined the list of existing and returning clients. This is of course very positive, but it also means we need to grow to cover the extra workload. 2 people joined us during 2007: a new account manager and a country manager for Belgium.

In 2007 we also launched a new blog. We try to use it both for news from Telemak outside of the normal business rules, and for industry news or thoughts. Check it out !

We continue to look for experienced and dynamic folks to join our teams accross Europe. If you look for a new challenge in audiovisual, IT or Telecom fields, send your motivation and CV to jobs@telemak.com. We also use freelance people, so please send us your details.

CNN has recently been added to the already long list of Mobile TV channels available on the Mobistar network. As a regular user of Mobile TV of Mobistar you can see it by going to the Orange World portal. Other recent channel additions including Cartoon, Extreme Sports and PlayBoy TV can be viewed on your compatible mobile phone.

“European skills Grand Prix” live transmission.  The Toyota Project & Training team was looking for a solution for a worldwide live transmission of their yearly event. With viewers from Brussels to all of Europe and Japan the transmission had a bigger than expected success.  Our services were hired for the webcast.

Tweede Kamer, the second Chamber of the Dutch legislative system was looking for a user-friendly way for the public to follow their sessions. As an exclusive partner of Viewcast our role was advising, delivering and installing the Viewcast Niagara Powerstream Pro II hardware & services to enable the stream of their events.

Microsoft’s Unified Communications has been integrated by Atos Origin. The demo movie of this software has been created, edited, encoded and coordinated by our edit team.

DDMC advises the National Post of Belgium in their communication. A webcast for internal communication towards staff and personnel was set up and coordinated with the client by our project team. Telemak built a secure website through which registered viewers could follow the presentation of the CEO Johnny Thijs & the director of Mail, Bernard Delvaux, and also participate a live Q&A with the remote post offices.
