Telemak Newsletter October 2004
Streaming Media Technologies
Welcome
As you can read in this issue, we have been busy during the summer. Encoding Fata Morgana for Telenet; keeping the Neckermann project running; webcasting the Sulha Peace Project from Israel, webcasting the TMF Awards and much more.
We are also proud to announce our new website. You already had a brief view of the new design with this newsletter, but now the site is also live.

CEOThere is a battle going on in the player industry. Apple, Microsoft and Real all try to get their technology out in the market. A more recent player is also getting very popular, Macromedia Flash. It is very hard to tell today who is the best or who could or would win the battle, if a winner will be. When people ask me which player or format to chose, I try to explain the major differences between them. I agree it is not easy to say which one is better. it really depends on what you want to do with it. They all have their respective advantages. But more importantly, at Telemak we offer you the choice of both the encoding and hosting of all formats, including Windows Media, Real, QuickTime, MPEG 4 and Flash streaming. If you wish to know what format would better fit you, ask our sales team to check out with you what your needs and expectations are, and we will be glad to do a little test together.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, I look forward to your feedback. You can send me an email at any time - either when we succeed in meeting your expectations, or more importantly when we miss. Please mail to ceo@telemak.com

News from the sales and marketing division
Jeoren De BackerA lot has changed since our last newsletter: for example our entire new corporate look. Duoh!, our graphic studio, amazed us with our new company brochure, we only needed to put our ideas on a draft paper and the immediately understood what we wanted and needed.
In fact, this new look and feel was so good, people where advising us to get the old website offline and have it changed, and thus we did.
As we're finalizing the web project by putting more video online, we'd like to know what you, as a visitor, think about it, so please hit that 'fill out our e-survey link' in the 'latest news' section on the homepage.
Organizing a webbinar is the new way of communicating towards your channel: instead of flying everybody in, have your seminar online! Besides a audio/visual contact, visitors will be able to give comments and feedback through a messenger and survey tool. An innovative and budget saving solution!
Fill our our Live event questionnaire to have your webbinar budgeted!
