ODMedia signs video-on-demand encoding deal
ODMediaTelemak picked up large scale encoding for ODMedia, a company specializing in a total Video On Demand solution; the platform, DRM, billing and content.
Many encoding houses use hardware encoders to deal with large volumes, transcoding captured content in real-time. Telemak however has been practicing the 'art' of encoding since the dawn of web based media and decided a properly tuned software based facility would produce much higher quality output, allowing a better experience to the end user.
The system is fully automated, remote accessible, and capable of encoding up to fifty full length movies every day.
Encoded files are deployed by ODMedia for customers like Casema / Wanadoo, Planet Moviestream (KPN) and Skynet (Belgacom).
